UK Scrappers - July Week 4 Challenge

This week's challenge was set by Girls with Stash. Their challenge was to use up precious stash for 5 points, use a life theme for 10 points, doodle, draw or illustrate for 5 points, use swirls for 5 points and evoke cozy feelings for 5 points.

I have used some photos of my brother's recent wedding (life theme). The doodles are from Dawn Inskip's Background Doodles, the papers are various ones from the Digi Chick. The title and hearts are from a OScraps collaboration kit.

This month the challenge was to use a holiday photo and make it take up at least half of the page. I have used the By The Sea kit by Mini Cake Designs available at the Digital Scrap Cafe.

This week the template was provided by Anita from Anita Designs. These are photos of my brother's wedding on Friday. I have used papers from the Circle Crazy kit by Brooke and Kiki and the other elements are from the Watch Me Grow kit by Laurie's Scraps.

Digi Chick - Sketch Challenge 21st July

This week's challenge was set by JubeeFish. A gorgeous template.

I have used the Spring Melody kit by Mira Designs and the frames are Pri Rocha's Basic Frame set. I have converted the main photo to black and white and then coloured the bath toy back in.

Digital Scrap Cafe - Scraplift 20th July

This week's challenge was set by ScrappyDi and we had to scraplift this gorgeous layout by Anita.

I have used a kit available from the Digital Scrap Cafe called Sweet Garden by Dri Marques Scraps. I love the muted tones of this kit. It is available here. I have also used the scraplift for the UK Scrappers weekly challenge. This week it was set by the Blooming Pages team. The challenge was to use 'Love' as the theme for 10 points, to include pearls for 10 points and to recycle something for 10 points. The photo was taken at Honeybrook Farm and Zoe found some rubbish on the ground and was handing it to her Daddy - a little recycler at the age of 3.

A fantasy layout

I love all the fantasy layouts that are out there and found the perfect kit to have a play with. I got it from Digital-Crea which is a French site. The kit is called Fairies of Lotus Lake by Maelia Designs. I love it as it is so beautiful.

Here is my layout. The photo of Zoe was an extraction. She was sat on our bed playing the DS with teddy but I extracted her out of the background and now she sits playing on a lily pad - much more fun!

This week the prompt was to do our favourite touristic spot. Well Zoe doesn't really any of these so I did the prompt about her favourite place - the park. I have used one of Jessica Sprague's lessons to create a storyboard effect with the photos. The rest of the elements and papers are from Studio Flerg's Scattered Hearts kit and the zig zag stitching is from Unconditional Love kit from the Digi Chick store.

Today was about favourite hobbies. As I am doing this album based on Zoe, I have done it on her favourite pastimes - which at the moment is jigsaw puzzles. Ihave used the Scattered Hearts kit by Studio Flergs and the tag is from Welcome to the World by Dawn Inskip. The jigsaw overlay was a freebie from the Digital Scrapbook Place.

This week's challenge was set by Lane'sMom and we had to use the quote "Remember they are only little once". I have used the Celebrate kit by Brooke Designs - such a lovely vibrant kit and it is available at the Digital Scrap Cafe here

Digi Chick - Sketch Challenge 13th July

We were given a fab sketch by Miss Rubikscube. I have doubled up this challenge with the weekly challenge over on UKS.

The UKS challenge was set by the Ruby Snippers. The rules were to use stars for 5pts and squares for 5pts, leave lots of white space for 5pts, use blue for 5pts and birds for 5pts and the theme had to be a celebration for 5pts. So full points for me. I have used the My Day My Life kit by Madame Wing and the bird is from the Spring Melody kit by Mira Designs. The alphas are called Sticker Alpha by Mari Koeglenberg.

Digital Scrap Cafe - Cafe Colour Challenge

This challenge will double up for the UKS weekly challenge.

The DSC challenge was to use a kit by Rozie called Darkness.

The challenge on UKS was set by The Snippets and the title had to reference summer for 10 points, have a Summer theme for 5 points, use ribbon for 5 points, use 2 pics for 5 points and have secret journalling for 5 points. I did all of these except the secret journalling so 25 points for my team.

Digi Chick - July Workshop - Faves

This is the first page of my July challenge over on Digi Chick. It is about Zoe's favourite movie - well she doesn't sit still long enough to watch a movie, but TV is a different matter. Her favourite at the moment is Mickey Mouse Club House on the Disney Playhouse channel.

I have used papers from the Scattered Hearts kit by Studio Flergs and Art in Me by Tracy Stroud. I downloaded the mickey mouse image from the internet and the font for the title is called Mickey and is from DA Font. The mickey heads are also from the internet and then I have applied glitter styles and sparkles also by Studio Flergs.

Digi Chick - July Workshop - Faves

Digi Chick are holding a brilliant workshop for the month of July - it can be found here. The end result will be a mini album about our favourite things. I have decided to do mine on Zoe - as most of my scrapping is about here.

The first part of the workshop was to make the front cover of the mini album. I have used a new kit from the Digi Chick called Scattered Hearts by Studio Flerg. I love this kit - perfect for this project.

I have used the fab new July Collaboration kit called Birthday Boy. This photo was taken after I had had a few drinkies whilst on a scrapping retreat. I am laid in a top box on the top of a car. I just couldn't stop laughing!!!!
